THE roads around Croydon are severely congested this evening following two road-traffic collisions.
A man died after being hit by a lorry in Wellesley Road this afternoon and another is fighting for his life after being hit by a car in Parchmore Road, Thornton Heath, this evening.
Lengthy road closures have been put in place while police investigate both incidents.
As a result, there are said to be delays of an hour or more on buses and many roads are gridlocked in areas around the collisions and even around areas like Norbury, Addiscombe and South Norwood.
