CROYDON police have released a second batch of pictures of people they are hunting in the run up to Christmas.

The eight people are all either wanted on recall to prison, or for having failed to appear at court. The gallery is the second in a three-week push to try to find people wanted by the police in the borough.

The people are:

Amani Genus-Williams, 21, recalled to prison after previously being convicted of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life. Genus-Williams has been wanted since August 15, 2014 and has links to the Old Palace Road and South Croydon areas.

Albert Gregory, 45, wanted on recall to prison having previously been convicted of robbery. Wanted since September 25 and has links to South Norwood and Thornton Heath.

Alex Lee Antonio, 22, failed to appear at Croydon Crown Court after being charged with kidnap. Wanted since December 2 and has links to Fieldway and New Addington areas.

Michaela Cordice, 28, failed to appear at Croydon Magistrates' Court after being charged with harassment and actual bodily harm. Wanted since November 20 and has links to South Norwood and the centre of Croydon.

Detective Sergeant Jonathan Kent, who leads Croydon's Wanted Offenders Unit said:

"We're responsible for finding and arresting people who have either been recalled to prison or those who haven't turned up at court to face the charges against them, or to avoid being sentenced.

"As you might imagine, a lot of these people don't make it easy for us to find them, but we don't give up and we'll do all we can to try and find and arrest these people and take them back to prison, or put them before the courts.

"We obviously know who all of these people are, but what we need from the public in these cases is any information as to where they might be or where they are staying. I'd urge anyone with information on the whereabouts of any of these people to get in touch."

Anyone with information about the people should contact police on 101 or call Crimestoppers, which is an independent charity and completely anonymous, on 0800 555 111.
