BEN Haenow's girlfriend has revealed he will be cooking Christmas dinner, whatever the outcome of the X Factor final this weekend.
Jessica Jones, a 27-year-old dance teacher from Shirley, has been with the X Factor finalist for six years.
She first spotted the 29-year-old van-driver when they were at Edenham High School. But the couple didn't get together until a few years later.
"We are so excited about having Ben home for Christmas," said Jess. "We're all going to be together and we'll just be eating.
"Ben will be cooking with his brother, Alex. They're really good, everyone gets involved but the boys are in charge. They love it, Ben is a really good cook.
"They don't put their feet up. Their nan, Rita, does the cooking all year round she needs a break on Christmas day."
Jess said it has been difficult for the couple while Ben has been in the X Factor house, but she usually gets to see him on Saturday nights and once during the week.
"It has been so hard," she said. "I was so lucky to spend the day with him on Wednesday and have a little insight into a day in the life of Ben Haenow.
"It is insane. He talks to me whenever he can, and calls and messages. We were allowed to bring him home on Sunday night so even though it was a matter of a few hours it was so lovely to have him home.
"Those few hours of recharging does so much for both of us."
Jess said it still hasn't sunk in that she is the girlfriend of an X Factor finalist.
"It's surreal. I don't think it's all sunk in yet but I'm just so proud of him," said Jess. "I've seen myself in OK! magazine today so that has made it feel a bit more real.
"I just feel like ben's girlfriend but I think today will show us just how big he is and how much support he has.
"We've had people coming up to us and messaging us but I think to see the extent of the Croydon support will hit us, and Ben. I think it will really smack him in the face."
Ben has support from around the globe and nicknamed his fans the 'Haeniacs', but Jess said she doesn't mind having so many women fawning over her man.
She said: "The Haeniacs are the loveliest fans. They are so complimentary of me. They're not just supporting Ben but they are a huge support to me.
"I had a message this morning from Ukraine, it's crazy to think that the support is global."
And Jess is confident Ben can take the X Factor crown.
She said: "I'm over the moon. It's such a whirlwind. There's the initial shock and so much emotion you get so overwhelmed you go a bit numb and starey and zombified.
"I've never seen Ben cry as much as he has recently and I don't think I've cried as much in the last two years as I have during this experience, not sad tears, extremely happy tears.
"I definitely think he can win. I have every faith in Ben to win this, but obviously it's down to the public. Let's hope the rest of the country thinks he can win and gets behind him this week.
"I just want to thank everyone who has been supporting him. To the Haeniacs and the whole of Croydon, a huge, huge, huge thank you."
