CRYSTAL Palace winger Yannick Bolasie has revealed his inspiration into having the confidence to perform tricks on the pitch.
The 25-year-old is in the form of his life right now in English football's top tier after yet another sensational performance against Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday.
In the the first half especially, Bolasie ripped Spurs to shreds down the left and produced one of the most outrageous pieces of skill the Premier League has seen for a long time.
After finding himself in a tight space down by the corner flag, he spun around while flicking the ball past two Spurs players before crossing for Joe Ledley in the danger area.
And the Democratic Republic of Congo international hasn't come up with a proper name for it yet, suggesting it was just a "360-turn and flick".
"When I wasn't a professional I used to like Ronaldinho a lot and the Brazilian Ronaldo," said Bolasie.
"There are not many players around like that anymore so it's tough to carry on doing what they did.
"It's all about statistics nowadays. I may have a couple more tricks, I'll just have to wait and see who I come against.
"It was a 360-degree turn and flick. I don't really do too many tricks like that on the pitch but I remember doing it a couple of years ago in the Championship.
"There are no names at the moment, it was just a playground flick. It was a good for it to come off in the Premier League.
"I used to it in the playground at school, so it's a trick from back then.
"When you don't normally do tricks, you sort of become unfamiliar with it but my confidence is high right now, I think I can do anything."
