CRYSTAL Palace look to have finally ended their interest in a sensational return for former strike ace Andrew Johnson.
Last summer, the forward was on the verge of coming back to Selhurst Park following a dramatic deadline-day transfer move from Queens Park Rangers.
However, the deal fell through as the paperwork wasn't completed in time after undertaking a late medical.
Since then, Palace have moved forward and are now heading in a different direction under boss Tony Pulis – and co-chairman Steve Parish has ruled out a move to bring Johnson, 33, back on a free transfer.
"I am not sure (about signing him), you'd have to ask the manager," Parish said.
"Andy is not someone we've spoken about. I think maybe that was one for last year and that has now passed us by.
"It has probably gone now unfortunately."Follow your Crystal Palace reporter on Twitter @MR_LWMedia and the Advertiser sports desk @AdvertiserSport for news, interviews and matchday tweets.
