AN UNOFFICIAL Twitter poll to find the manager of the season has brought heavy backing for Crystal Palace boss Tony Pulis.
Football fans have been using the hashtag #manageroftheseason to highlight the gaffer they feel deserves the accolade at this point of the campaign.
Plenty of votes have been cast for the Merseyside managers, Brendan Rodgers and Roberto Martinez, who have guided their sides towards a possible title and Champions League place respectively.
But many supporters - both Palace fans and neutrals - think Pulis' efforts with comparatively few resources at the opposite end of the table give him the edge.
@KingSamir94 Tweeted: "If Tony Pulis doesn't win #ManagerOfTheSeason, I don't know what to say. Palace were tipped to finish 20th, now look certain to stay up."
Also backing the former Stoke City boss was Luke Whittaker, who said: "#ManagerOfTheSeason has to be Tony Pulis #palace were dead and buried before he took over."
@TheBlueFergie said: "#manageroftheseason Pulis, by a long way. Shoestring budget, rescued a drowning club."
And @Ryan_Dean said: "Tony Pulis for me wherever he has gone he has done well deserves some recognition for this as well."
The hashtag was created following a debate on the talkSPORT drivetime show with Adrian Durham on Monday. Why should Tony Pulis win manager of the year? Give us your reasons below
