POLICE have said an officer who appeared to "punch" a suspect on camera has no case to answer.
A video, passed to the Advertiser by a member of the public last week, shows two officers arresting a man outside a convenience store in London Road, Broad Green, on March 17.
While restraining the man, who was later fined for drunk and disorderly conduct, one of the officers appears to strike him three times.
A Met spokeswoman said: "Having considered all of the available evidence, we have found there is no case to answer."
