A MAN who was found seriously injured in an alleyway in South Norwood this morning has died.
Police are treating the death as suspicious and the Met's Homicide and Major Crime team is investigating.
Officers were called to the scene off Station Road just after 7am this morning.
The man, thought to be 37, was found in an alleyway between a supermarket and an estate agents.
He was taken by ambulance to King's College Hospital, where he died shortly before midday.
Officers think they know who he is but are awaiting formal identification.
Police are appealing for information from the public.
DCI Diane Tudway said: "We do not know, at this time, how the victim sustained his injuries, nor have we established a motive for any attack on him.
"If you have any information that can help us understand how this man was hurt and who may have been involved, please contact the incident room."
