A MAN arrested on suspicion of stealing a credit card has failed to answer bail and may have fled the country. Tiago Pascoal, 31, was arrested on December 4 last year at a house in Coulsdon and when officers searched the address they found an iPhone and iPad which they believe had been stolen during a separate incident in Westminister on May 2. Mr Pascoal, a Portuguese national, was questioned on suspicion of committing both crimes but failed to answer bail last Friday. Police say they are attempting to trace Mr Pascoal who, according to a source, may have left the country. Mr Pascoal recently changed his location on Facebook to Constantine, Algeria. The former Portuguese Air Force employee's page was active as of Monday afternoon but has since been deleted. A Met Police spokesman said: "We can confirm a 31-year-old man who was arrested in connection with theft offences in Croydon and Westminster failed to return on police bail on January 24. "Enquiries are ongoing to locate the man."
