Division 2Chequers C 37–33 Roundwood C Despite six league places between Roundwood C and top-of-the-league Chequers C, this game was a closely-matched and competitive meeting. A number of early interceptions kept the scoring low and Roundwood took a narrow one-goal lead into the second quarter. Roundwood's defence did well to cut out Chequers' overhead passes, preventing the ball from getting into shooters Anna Maloney and Sarah Pryor. At half time, Roundwood led by five goals, but some fantastic defending from GK Denise O'Neill and GD Barbara Thomas kept Chequers in touch with the game. Chequers came out after half time confident that the deficit could be pulled back. Kirsty Cook and Anna Stone's interceptions and Mary McNamara's accurate passing into the circle allowed Chequers to get back into the game and end the quarter drawing 26 all. Chequers' defence continued to put pressure on Roundwood's shooters until the end - gathering rebounds and sending the ball down the court to enable Chequers to finish the game ahead by four goals. Players' player of the match was Barbara Thomas and sporting player went to Denise O'Neill.
