CROYDON'S very own JB Gill, a member of boyband JLS, has got engaged.
The former Whitgift School pupil popped the question to his girlfriend Chloe Tangney, who revealed on Twitter on Saturday evening that she'd accepted his proposal.
JB then posted a photo of Chloe's engagement ring on Instagram, alongside the message "she said yes..."
He later tweeted a message of thanks to his fans, saying: "Thank you all so much for your congratulations and lovely comments, been an amazing day!!keep you all posted...hehe goodnight, God bless x"
JLS shot to fame in 2008, when they finished runners-up on the X Factor, behind Alexandra Burke.
The boys enjoyed five years of chart success before splitting at the end of 2013, to pursue other interests.
JB has spoken in the past of his desire to work on a farm and once appeared on the BBC's Countryfile programme, to talk about his passion for the subject.
In a recent interview with Hello! magazine, it seemed a marriage proposal was imminent.
The 27-year-old said: "'For me, it would be marriage, then babies. I'm traditional in that way, but it's definitely something I would like to focus on."
