CRYSTAL Palace winger Jason Puncheon has blasted former boss Neil Warnock following his penalty miss at Tottenham Hotspur on Saturday. The on-loan Southampton man, who stepped up to take the spot-kick following his success from the same position against Norwich City recently, has had to take a lot of stick since the weekend. Warnock was a guest host on The Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast show on talkSPORT on Monday morning, where he spoke about his time with Puncheon at Queens Park Rangers in the 2011/12 season – and that miss at White Hart Lane. Warnock suggested that he would not have the left-footed star as a penalty taker, adding from what he saw in training, he was capable of a good long range effort but not sure of his mentality to take a pressure kick. And then afterwards, Southampton legend Matt Le Tissier had his say too after covering the game for Sky Sports' Soccer Saturday show. However, Puncheon has hit back at former Palace boss Warnock on his Twitter account, saying: "In the wake of a bad penalty and people's opinions and banter which I accept @mattletiss7 on @talkSPORTLive this morning gets it right... Puncheon then went on to tweet further allegations towards Warnock before claiming his former boss was hardly seen at training in his time at Loftus Road. "The fact he could even talk about training is shocking he was never there... "Everything else is banter and opinions and as a man I will live with that which is fine but I will not live with his opinion." However, within 30 minutes of airing his views, Puncheon deleted his tweets.
