Football League clubs line up for Crystal Palace striker

CRYSTAL Palace striker Kwesi Appiah is attracting a lot of interest from Football League clubs. The former Margate man has recently been out on loan at Cambridge United in the Conference Premier, firing them to the current play-off positions. But he has now returned to Selhurst Park and the Eagles want to move him up a level to gain regular experience. And any further move for Appiah will be on the back of other youngsters securing loans to gain experience, notably at non-league level. "We're looking potentially at getting Kwesi Appiah some more experience," Palace Academy Director Gary Issott told the Advertiser. "Kwesi returned from Cambridge United and there is some interest in him from the Football League particularly. "We have got a number of players out at the moment – I think the plan is to get around ten players out on loan in this January window. "Kyle De Silva looks set for Northampton Town, then both goalkeepers Ross Fitzsimons and David Gregory, plus Alex Wynter and Derek Tieku, have all gone out on loan. "Alex has gone to Sutton United, Derek has gone to Hayes & Yeading, while Luke Croll has also gone to Harrow Borough."
