JUST two months after he left Crystal Palace, Ian Holloway is back in football as the new manager of Millwall.
The 50-year-old takes the reins at Palace's south London rivals, tasked with keeping the Lions in the Championship.
Millwall currently lie just outside the relegation zone, in 21st, having sacked previous boss Steve Lomas last month.
A statement on the Millwall club website this afternoon read: "Millwall Football Club can confirm that terms have been agreed with Ian Holloway for him to become new manager following the departure of Steve Lomas on Boxing Day.
"Ollie is set to take up his new position this week and will be in charge of the team for the Championship fixture at Huddersfield Town on Saturday."
Some Millwall fans may be forced to change their opinion of the ex-QPR, Leicester, and Blackpool boss.
Holloway told the Advertiser in April how he was singled out for abuse from a section of the Lions support, as he went to watch Millwall take on Blackburn.
"As I walked into the ground at The Den, I got totally and utterly abused by the Millwall fans just for walking along," he said at the time.
"Obviously there is a fair bit of dislike between Millwall and Palace, but as far as I'm concerned I've got to get my lads prepared to go into that sort of atmosphere."
Holloway has reportedly agreed a two and half year deal at The Den.
He left Palace in October, after the Eagles lost seven of their first eight league games - at the time admitting he was "tired".
