CRYSTAL Palace Adrian Mariappa has hailed the club's fans after they backed their side all the way this afternoon at the Etihad Stadium.
It was an impressive defensive display from the Eagles, who were undone by Edin Dzeko's goal in the second half – against the run of play.
Mariappa, though, paid tribute to the supporters following the match and admitted he didn't realise how noisy they were before signing for the club in the summer.
"They are unbelievable – they have outsung every set of fans I've come across," he told the Advertiser.
"The home support is as good as the away support and they really are amazing.
