A VAN has been crushed by a huge tree as Croydon continues to be hit by extreme weather conditions.
The telecommunications van, belonging to The Kelly Group, was parked in a driveway on Canning Road, East Croydon, when the thick tree fell on its roof this morning.
Twitter user Henry Kwabena Pecku (@Kpecku) posted a photo of the crushed van and reported that no one was hurt.
A tree also fell onto a section of tram track between Sandilands and Lloyd Park this afternoon.

There have been a few tree-related incidents reported so far that Croydon Council contractors have been called to at:-
- Spurgeon Road, Upper Norwood. A tree is down blocking the road. Contractors have been notified
- The junction of Hayes Lanes and Golf Road, Kenley. A tree is down blocking the road. Contractors on site.
- Firs Road, Kenley. A tree is down blocking the road. Contractors are on site.
- Caterham Drive, Coulsdon. A tree is down blocking road. Contractors on site.
- The junction of Croham Road and Croham Valley Road, South Croydon. Contractors are on site.
- Elmside, New Addington. Contractors called to a dangerous tree but work has already been completed.
- Norman Avenue, West Croydon. A tree has split but work has already been completed.
