THE trial of the man accused of wasting police time in the hunt for murdered school Tia Sharp has been postponed.
Paul Meehan, 40, had been due to stand trial at Croydon Magistrates' Court today.
His trial is now due to take place on July 29, at the same court.
Mr Meehan lived in The Lindens, New Addington, next-door to Tia's murderer Stuart Hazell.
The 12-year-old's body was found in the house Hazell shared with her grandmother on August 10 last year, after a week-long missing persons search.
Hazell, 37, was convicted of her murder last month and sentenced to a minimum 38 years in prison.
The house where Tia's body was found was demolished yesterday by Croydon Council.
