LIVE: Stuart Hazell stands trial accused of Tia Sharp murder

THE trial of Stuart Hazell – accused of murdering 12-year-old Tia Sharp – is due to start today at the Old Bailey. The schoolgirl's body was discovered, a week after she was reported missing, in the loft of her grandmother's house in The Lindens, New Addington, on August 10 last year. Our reporters will be providing live updates throughout the two week trial. You can follow the proceedings on this page or by following our @gareth_davies09 on Twitter. 2.55pm: The jury is shown an image from a memory card, which appears to show Tia being secretly filmed. They also view a video clip of Tia putting cream on her legs, said to be found on a memory card hidden in the house.2.52pm: Prosecution QC Andrew Edis tells the court images and videos on memory cards and Hazell's mobile phone all fit together. Two bags were found in the loft; one containing Tia's body, the other some of her possessions.2.50pm: Tia's mother is sobbing as the barrister continues to outline the case against Hazell.2.45pm : Two memory sticks were found hidden in the house, the court hears. One contained child pornograph, bestiality and pictures and videos of Tia sleeping.2.40pm : The court has been told that Tia's blood was found in a sex toy discovered in the house. The prosecution will argue that Hazell had a sexual attraction to Tia.
