THE trial of two teenagers accused of murdering aspiring rapper Umar Tufail in South Norwood has been adjourned until Monday.
Proceedings had been expected to begin today (Friday) after being delayed earlier in the week due to a legal issue.
During a short session at the Old Bailey this morning Judge Stephen Kramer granted more time for the matter to be resolved and said the trial would resume on Monday (March 18).
Kyrone Daley and Sanchez Thomas, both 19, are said to have shot 25-year-old Umar in the head as he sat in a car outside his home in Wharncliffe Road, South Norwood, on July 25 last year.
Police believe the musician, who performed under the name Humuh, was killed by mistake during a feud between rival groups in the area.
Daley, of Unity Close, West Norwood, and Sanchez, of no fixed address, deny murder.
