THIS is the first picture of an elderly man who died after being hit by a lorry in Croydon town centre.
Maurice Baxter, 80, died after the collision in Wellesley Road at around 2.30pm on Thursday. His next of kin have been informed and Aa post-mortem examination is scheduled to take place at Croydon Mortuary on Monday.
The driver stopped at the scene and no arrests were made. Police are continuing to investigate and would like to speak to anyone who saw the collision or the moments leading up to it.
