A MAN has been injured in a collision with a double-decker bus in Croydon town centre this afternoon.
Police were called to reports of a collision between a pedestrian and a bus at 4.38pm at the junction of Park Street and Wellesley Road.
The man, reported to be in his late 30s, was treated at the scene for chest and shoulder injuries and was taken to the major trauma centre at St George's Hospital in Tooting as a priority.
His injuries were said to be life-changing but not life-threatening. His next of kin have been informed and are on their way to the hospital.
London Ambulance Service sent an ambulance and a single responder car to the scene.
The windscreen of the 466 bus involved in the collision appears to have been smashed in the incident.
Police have closed Park Street while they attend the scene.
