GLASTONBURY founder Michael Eavis kicked off his wellies to pay the BRIT School in Selhurst a visit last Thursday (September 26).
Mr Eavis, 78, who started the world-famous festival in 1970, was in town to celebrate receiving the 2014 Music Industry Trusts Award (MITS).
The BRIT School, in The Crescent, is one of two charities, alongside music therapy charity Nordoff Robbins, which benefits from the MITS fundraising event.
The farmer was given a tour of the school by principal Stuart Worden where he met performing arts pupils studying disciplines including music, art and photography.
He then took part in a Q&A with 120 students from the school. The award Mr Eavis received has been held in previous years by stars such as Sir Elton John, Kylie Minogue, Andrew Lloyd Webber and Gary Barlow.
