Crystal Palace striker: I told Mile Jedinak to take penalty

CAMERON Jerome says he didn't look to take the penalty for Crystal Palace after winning the spot-kick at West Ham United on Saturday. After his goal at Everton last Wednesday, Jerome's confidence would have been sky-high but instead told skipper Mile Jedinak to do the honours. And the Australian did just that, planting an unstoppable shot past Hammers goalkeeper Adrian. "Mile has been magnificent in the last four games like everyone else, but you can see he's come out of his shell a bit and his confidence is starting to show," Jerome said. "It was nice for him to get a goal. He took a lot of free-kicks last year, and soon as I won the penalty I said he could take it. "There weren't any complaints from West Ham, it was clear their player caught me."For the big interview with Jerome on his future at Palace, do not miss Friday's Croydon Advertiser.
