A cyclist has won an apology from TfL after one of its bus drivers called him a "knob".
John Richardson, who cycles to his work in Croydon twice a week, was riding along High Street when a 119 bus drove past, almost cutting him up.
When the cyclist rode up to the bus to confront the driver in Katherine Street and ask her "why did you overtake me there?", she replied "because I could get past you easy".
Mr Richardson disagreed with her saying "you were that close to me" and cycled off.
However, the driver shouted out her window: "You know when you nearly killed the old bloke at the Swan and Sugar Loaf? You knob."
The cyclist, who runs a Youtube channel uploading videos of his experiences on a bike in Croydon, complained to TfL and Metrobus who were operating the service.
A spokesman from TfL wrote back saying: "I understand how you must have felt after this experience and appreciate your concern.
"Please accept my apologies.
"The safety of our passengers and other road users is of paramount importance to us.
"It is essential that London's bus drivers promote a positive image of London buses, as well as operating their bus safely and competently."
Mr Richardson said after the incident: "I imagine that the depot manager will give them a right royal bollocking."
