Kane Boyce has pleaded not guilty to murdering his girlfriend at the Old Bailey today.
The man, 33, from Erith, was charged with the 20-year-old girl on January 17 after police were called to a house in Dunsfold Way, New Addington to reports she had fallen ill on November 11.
Miss Newman, from Beckenham, was rushed to hospital but later died from fatal head injuries.
Boyce was remanded in custody until his hearing at the Old Bailey this morning where he pleaded not guilty.
He will stand trial for the murder of Miss Newman on June 30 this year.
