CRYSTAL Palace winger Yannick Bolasie admitted he thrived on the booing he received from West Ham fans at Upton Park on Saturday.
Following a clash with Hammers left-back Pablo Arnero in the first half, Bolasie went down near the corner flag on the right flank holding his head before referee Martin Atkinson finally stopped play following some West Ham hesitancy.
Every touch from the 24-year-old was met with boos from the home faithful soon after, but Bolasie said it didn't affect his performance and he went on to give George McCartney a tough afternoon.
"I got elbowed – I'm not sure if he meant it – but it wasn't going to put me off my game," he told the Advertiser.
"I cheer on the boos, I like it and I enjoy playing football, so I just keep smiling.
"I thought we played really well, we dealt with their second balls and kept picking up. We counter-attacked them, which seemed to work in the end.
"Cammy (Cameron Jerome) won us the penalty and Mile (Jedinak) has slotted it home, the game has finished 1-0.
"There is confidence flowing in and we're all picking up ball in the right areas and also trying to get into the right areas.
"It was good to see Mile (score). I don't think he gets enough credit for what he does but I think seeing a couple of statistics and things like that, Mile is a top player."
