BNP under-fire in New Addington for 'shameful' election leaflet

LABOUR has hit back at a "shameful" British National Party election leaflet being circulated locally, falsely accusing national party figures of supporting child abuse and incest. The BNP in New Addington is distributing a leaflet saying deputy national opposition leader Harriet Harman wants to "de-criminalise incest," among other similar accusations. These stem from recent national newspaper claims that an organisation Harman worked for in the 1970s, the National Council for Civil Liberties, was influenced at the time by a pro-paedophile activist group. Harman has said the Paedophile Information Exchange had "nothing to do" with her work at the civil liberties group. Oliver Lewis, one of Labour's candidates for New Addington, said: "I am not going to comment on this shameful, hateful leaflet that is beneath contempt, from a failed and morally bankrupt party."
