JOEL Ward says Palace's unity got them through dramatic match at Everton on Wednesday night and is looking to push on further than the 40 points they've reached.
It was the Eagles' fourth win in a row and they will take huge confidence heading to West Ham United on Saturday.
And even though it looks like Premier League football is heading back to Selhurst Park next season, Ward wants to carry on getting points until they are mathematically safe from the sides below them.
"It was massive for us - we have been on a good run and the main thing for us was to keep that going," he told the Advertiser.
"Even though we have got to the 40 points, we want to go as high as we can, we're a determined group and we'll do that.
"It was a great resilient performance from us. Goodison Park was rocking when they scored and they thought they could get back into the game.
"But we showed our togetherness, our strength and unity to come through and hold on.
"We knew they were going to come at us and they're a good footballing side but we knew if we could hold on and break on them then there are spaces down the sides and middle for us to get at them because they do throw a lot of players forward.
"We're not resting on our laurels, we're going to go into the next game and we've got four games left.
"We have a chance to get as high as we can. That's what we're going to do, we're going to keep on striving together and striving for more results to get us high up in the league as possibly as we can.
"I think our togetherness speaks volumes. The way we stick together through thick and thin, the gaffer has made us hard to beat.
"We know that as long as we stay in the game, we have a great chance. We have the belief now to go on and pick up points when a lot of people write us off."
