THE Premier League will investigate claims Crystal Palace 'spied' on Cardiff City, after the Welsh club lodged an official complaint. Cardiff officials believe they have evidence that their former director of football Iain Moody - now at Palace - contacted up to three members of their staff before the game earlier this month, which Palace won 3-0. They claim Moody was trying to get team selection information - an allegation the Eagles' sporting director denies. The Premier League this evening confirmed it had received a formal complaint and would now investigate the matter further. Moody joined Palace in November, having been sacked earlier in the season by Cardiff's eccentric owner Vincent Tan.
