JASON Puncheon has been lauded by Crystal Palace defender Scott Dann following his two goals at Cardiff City on Saturday.
The winger got the ball rolling on 31 minutes before wrapping up a fantastic display to add to Joe Ledley's goal with a stunning finish to the top corner.
And Dann has heaped praise on the permanent January signing for taking "the pressure off the team" when looking to find the back of the net.
He told the Advertiser: "He is capable of that, Puncheon. It's important we get the right people in the right areas who can produce goals like that.
"I think that's what we've missed over the last six or seven games, having someone sticking the ball into the back of the net.
"Everyone works really hard together but when someone gets into that position as Punch showed, he has stuck one into the bottom corner and one in the top corner.
"It takes the pressure off the team and it builds confidence."
