CRYSTAL Palace striker Dwight Gayle scored an incredible five goals for the club's U21 development side this afternoon.
Starting up front alongside Glenn Murray against Brentford U21s, the duo tore the Bees apart before both were substituted on 57 minutes.
The score at the time was 6-0, with club captain Paddy McCarthy notching the third in the first half.
Gayle, who has been on the substitutes' bench for the majority of the season, has had to be patient under boss Tony Pulis, with his best moment of the campaign coming at Aston Villa with a 93rd-minute winner in December.
But this afternoon's performance will remind the manager of what he can produce should Pulis decide to change his starting XI against Villa this Saturday.
