A MAN sold fake Willy Wonka chocolate bars from a shop in the Whitgift Centre.
Philip Booth admitted selling the bars at the Candy USA store last January which bore signs Croydon Council trading standard officers said were identical to, or likely to be mistaken for, 'Wonka' and 'golden ticket'.
Both of these are registered trademarks and Mr Booth was facing charges of copyright infringement.
However, he has accepted a legally binding council caution, meaning he avoided appearing at Croydon Magistrates' Court earlier this week.
His acceptance of the caution would be used in evidence should he face similar charges in the future.
