CRYSTAL Palace midfielder Stuart O'Keefe says Saturday's 1-0 win over Chelsea was "one of the best" in their Premier League campaign. John Terry's own goal gave them all three points, but it was their resilience in keeping the Blues out and then go closing on three or four further occasions which deserved the three points. And O'Keefe, who came on after 70 minutes to pack the middle of the park, was delighted the gameplan Palace worked on went to plan. "It was a massive three points," he told the Advertiser. "Going into the game, no one gave us a chance. "It was one of those ones where anything you get was just a bonus, but I thought the our performance was one of the best this season. "We created more chances when we went 1-0 up and it could have been more, it could have been two or three. "I don't think Chelsea really cut us open. We worked hard all week on the gameplan and we knew what we were going to come up against. "It was just about being organised, disciplined and hitting them on the break. It definitely worked. "People may look at think we scraped a 1-0 win. It was anything but that. When you watch the highlights, we had our fair amount of chances and on another day it could have been two three. "It was just one of those things, hopefully next weekend they'll go in and we'll get a great result." O'Keefe played a starring role in the game away from home in December, a game Palace narrowly lost 2-1, but then the Academy product got injured. But he was delighted to help Palace hold on to their winning goal for the remaining 20 minutes or so. "I played in the game at Stamford Bridge then I got injured, but then the gaffer has put me on to shore up the midfield and get close to Chelsea. "I was pleased with what I did but obviously it was just pleasing to be involved in a game like that."Follow us on Twitter @AdvertiserSport and our sports reporter @MR_LWMedia for more Palace news and interviews.
