CHELSEA manager José Mourinho was disappointed with the performances of some of his players after the 1-0 defeat to Crystal Palace.
In his post-match press conference, the Blues boss suggested that some of his more high-profile players do not turn up for the lower profile matches.
He said: "[We have had] quality in every match we lost except here. You see the matches we lost and try to find the points in common; Stoke City away, Everton away, Newcastle away, Crystal Palace away, West Bromwich away, there were points lost.
"You try to find common points, and clearly we have some players who because of their profile, they find it difficult to perform in some profile of match.
"You have Ivanovic, Terry, Cahill and Azpilicueta. They perform in the sun, the rain, small pitches, big pitches, aggressive teams, not aggressive teams, possession teams, non possession teams and they perform every game from day one.
"You have some players they are fantastic in some matches, but they disappear in some matches. You can find easily in these matches something in common."
Asked whether he thought some of the players had their minds on the Champions League match against Paris St Germain on Wednesday, Mourinho dismissed the idea, suggesting they would not play if that were the case.
He said: "I don't think so. If they have their mind in Paris, maybe they have the risk of not to play in Paris and that makes no sense."
The Portuguese effectively conceded that Chelsea's title aspirations were all but over, claiming it would be "very, very difficult" to win the league.
"It's too much, too much… I think we have to win the six matches we have and finish in the best position we can. To win the league, I think it is very, very difficult"
