SQUATTERS have occupied a former police station in Norbury.
Norbury police station, in London Road, was closed seven months ago and put up for sale as part of police budget cuts.
The building was boarded up, but yesterday police received reports that it had been taken over by squatters.
A spokesman said: "On arrival, officers spoke to the occupants who have indicated they intend to remain at the location until served with an eviction notice.
"The local Safer Neighbourhoods team have been informed and will provide reassurance to the local community with regular patrols in the area."
