CRYSTAL Palace goalkeeper Julian Speroni was delighted to help the Eagles stay in the game against Swansea City following his big save from Wilfried Bony on Sunday.
Trailing to Jonathan de Guzman's opener at the Liberty Stadium, it was very nearly two for the hosts but Speroni got down superbly to thwart the striker.
And after Glenn Murray's equaliser from the penalty spot, Speroni admitted he and his team-mates were disappointed not to even take all three points.
"It would have been tough to come back at 2-0," he said.
"I was pleased to help the team get a point, but as I've said before, as a keeper you make saves and still lose games sometimes, which is disappointing.
"You feel like it was for nothing, but at Swansea I made a good save and it helped the team.
"For their goal, it was hard when you have someone in front of you, he had the whole goal to finish it really.
"I thought we reacted well after that in the second half. I think we have Swansea too much respect in the first half.
"They are good with the ball but when they're without it, they press in every single area and I don't think we could cope with that.
"In the second half we were more positive going forward and we pressed in their half, and we could have won the game in the end.
"We had good chances to win, it was a good point in the end but it we were disappointed it could have been three.
"In the second half we had the best opportunities and I'm so pleased to see Glenn Murray scoring again after such a long time."
