CRYSTAL Palace defender Joel Ward has spoken of his joy to see team-mate Glenn Murray find the back of the net again.
The striker scored the Eagles' equaliser from the penalty spot against Swansea City on Sunday, and he could have nicked the winner at the end.
But Murray's penalty drew praise from Ward, who believes no goalkeeper would have saved the shot on its way into the top corner.
It was also Murray's first goal in the top flight of English football.
Ward told the Advertiser: "I am absolutely buzzing for Glenn, for Muzza. He's worked so hard, and last season it must have been so disappointing for him.
"It was disappointing for us to see him go down in that game, but his attitude has been spot on and all credit to him for stepping up to take that penalty.
"He stuck it where no keeper would save it. He did well (to win it) and I am hoping there will be plenty of that.
"To see Muzza, he's very cool and calm like that. He knows where the net is and I don't think any keeper would have save it, it was in the top corner.
"It's about staying calm and picking your spot. I don't think many players go out and purposely practice penalties.
"You can't always replicate it when you've got the fans behind the goal, and thankfully it was our fans behind the goal sucking the ball into the net.
"They've been outstanding all season so it probably made it a little bit more easier for him. He chose his spot and made sure it hit the back of the net."
