YUSRA Souissi from Croydon will walk onto the pitch at Wembley Stadium on Wednesday, as World Cup fever grips the country when England take on Denmark in their first game of the year as they prepare for the tournament in Brazil.
It will be a fantastic day for Yusra, aged eight, who, as a McDonald's Player Escort, will walk side by side out of the Wembley tunnel with players such as Joe Hart, Daniel Sturridge and Wayne Rooney before England's first international of 2014.
Yusra, who won the chance to be a Player Escort by winning a competition on the McDonald's KickStart website, said: "I'm really excited about being on the pitch at Wembley with the players before the match. It will be amazing to see the stadium and see them play."
McDonald's and The FA have been Community Partners since 2002 and have worked together to help young footballers shine by creating more opportunities for children to get involved in football.
The partnership is also working towards the objective of helping 75% of all youth clubs achieve FA Charter Standard status before the end of 2014, which ensures grassroots clubs are safe, supportive and fun places for young people to enjoy playing football.
Sir Geoff Hurst, McDonald's Director of Football, said: "The build up to the World Cup in Brazil starts here and this game will give the players a real chance to impress Roy Hodgson and earn their spot in the tournament squad.
"It's sure to be a great game and I am certain that the McDonald's Player Escorts will have a fantastic evening."
