Opera and Ballet International are sniffing out the best canine talent Croydon has to offer. The chosen pooch will be given the treat of a lifetime by starring in the opera La Boheme, at Fairfield Halls, on April 17.
The successful dog will join up with the celebrated Chisinau National Opera and Philharmonic Orchestra's spring tour. With international soloists from across the world already lined up, the final role to be cast is that of Mazetta's pet dog.
Award winning director and producer, Ellen Kent said: "People say never work with children or animals but I love to do both.
"We're a nation of animal lovers after all. I'm sure there is plenty of doggie talent out there.
"The dog is central – it lifts the whole scene and brings it to life. It gives the scene a sense of reality and makes it sparkle."
In order to apply your dog must be small and well behaved. As the owner you must also be prepared to go onstage in costume to look after him or her during the performance.
To unleash your dog's star paw-formance, send a photograph with the pet's name, age, weight and height to Sadie Williams at sadie@ellenkent.co.uk
