FREEZES in pay and display on street parking charges were agreed by Croydon Council on Tuesday.
Prices at council-run car parks are also being kept at existing levels, as are charges for residents' and business parking permits.
The council is also hoping to boost local trade in district areas by reducing short-term charges in some roads.
The list of roads with reductions in pay-and-display charges from April 7 are:
Campbell Road, Elmwood Avenue, Hathaway Road, Nova Road and Kidderminster Road: 15 minutes stay will cost 30p (currently 60p); and 30 minutes will be 50p (currently £1.10).
Broad Green Avenue: 30 minutes will cost 30p (currently 60p).
Purley Rise and Russell Hill Road: 30 minutes to 8 hours will range from 20p to £1 (currently 40p to £2.50).
The charges were agreed at a meeting of the council's traffic management cabinet on Tuesday.
Councillor Phil Thomas, cabinet member for highways and environmental services, said after the meeting: "It has always been our policy to keep charges as low as possible.
"Our charges in council run car parks are very competitive to encourage people to come and shop in Croydon and the district centres."
