CROYDON commuters should find it a little easier to get to work, after a 48-hour strike by London Underground workers was cancelled.
The proposed walkout - the second in as many weeks - had been due to start on Tuesday night, but was halted at the 11th hour after both the RMT and TSSA unions called off action, following talks with London Underground.
The unions are campaigning against controversial plans to close all 260 Tube ticket offices with the loss of 950 jobs.
RMT general secretary Bob Crow said negotiations would continue.
