A TEENAGER hit by a bus in Croydon on Thursday afternoon has thanked the emergency services who saved her life.
Amy Andrews, 16, tonight told the Advertiser how she "doesn't remember much" about the moment she was ran over in George Street, near East Croydon Station.
The teenager, who escaped with just a fractured foot and bruises to her body and face, is recovering at St George's Hospital, Tooting, from where she told the Advertiser: "I want to tell everyone thanks for helping me and looking after me; I really appreciate it.
"I feel really lucky."
Amy was on her way to college, when the bus hit her at about 12.30pm.
London Ambulance Service (LAS) sent one ambulance crew and a motorcycle responder to the scene. Police were also in attendance.
