CRYSTAL Palace coach Dave Kemp has admitted the Eagles would like to buy a striker as they strengthen their squad today.
Palace have already brought in keeper Wayne Hennessey and made Jason Puncheon's loan move permanent.
Tom Ince, Scott Dann, and Joe Ledley could all still join but, as a lack of goals has been an issue for the Eagles this season, a new striker could also be on the shopping list.
Kemp, who stood in for Tony Pulis at this afternoon's pre-match press conference, said: "A striker is certainly a target and we'll hopefully be looking to sign one. But I'm not in a position to announce anything at the moment."
On links to Blackburn forward Leon Best, Kemp added: "He will be a name that might have been mentioned but he's not close by."
