TONY Pulis held a meeting with Jason Puncheon on Monday following his penalty miss at Tottenham last weekend.
The Southampton loan man was a major talking point among fans up and down the country following his spot-kick shocker, but Pulis has backed the winger to bounce back and is pleased with his attitude ahead of Saturday's game with Stoke City.
And the manager gave an example of one his former players who went through rough spell following a few penalties.
"Jon Walters missed two or three penalties at my former club and I still encouraged him to take them," said Pulis.
"It's been an experience for him. It's like falling off your bike first time around.
"He's been good and I had a good chat with him on Monday in my office for ten minutes.
"It was a poor penalty but we all just get up and get on with it.
"His attitude has been brilliant since he's come to the club and he's a good player."
