DURING their first few months dining at football's top table, Crystal Palace fans have claimed to give their team better backing than other prawn sandwich-munching Premier League supporters.
Now, the results of a new poll back this up, suggesting the Eagles have the best and most knowledgeable fans in the top flight.
Bookmaker Ladbrokes quizzed over 10,000 Premier League fans on players past and present, history and other trivia about their favourite clubs.
And Palace fans came out on top, after getting an average seven out of ten of the questions right - ahead of second and third placed Hull and Everton.
Stoke City have the league's worst fans, on this criteria, followed by Man City and Fulham.
