CRYSTAL Palace winger Jason Puncheon may be feeling a little red faced after his penalty at White Hart Lane this afternoon.
But, to make matters worse, his horror miss came just days after he offered a fellow pro PENALTY LESSONS.
Puncheon was in the middle of a Twitter conversation with his pal, Norwich City midfielder Bradley Johnson, on Monday when the subject of spot kicks came up.
Puncheon tweeted: "Do you want me to give you some penalty lessons??"
Former Leeds player Johnson replied: "Ha since when can you take a pen."
Puncheon missed a golden opportunity to put Palace ahead early on against Spurs, when he blazed his penalty high and wide over the bar - in a strike compared to many on social media to Chris Waddle's Italia 90 miss against West Germany.
Tonight, Puncheon has again taken to Twitter to apologise for his blunder in the game, which the Eagles went on to lose 2-0.
"Gutted to lose today the boys worked hard and the fans were amazing today. Disappointed to miss the pen but will come back better & stronger," he wrote.
