CRYSTAL Palace manager Tony Pulis was delighted with his side's 2-0 victory at West Brom in the FA Cup - but disappointed by the poor attendance at The Hawthorns.
Just 12,700 watched the Third Round tie, in a week where high-profile figures including Aston Villa manager Paul Lambert have questioned the famous old competition's standing in the modern game.
The Eagles advanced thanks to goals from Dwight Gayle and Marouane Chamakh, but Pulis was left to reflect on the attendance - less than half the number who turned out for the league game at the same ground in November.
He said: "There's got to be some way of filling stadiums up, especially for third round and fourth round ties at Premier League grounds.
"That has to be looked at because it is a wonderful competition.
"For all of what is going on, we've got to try as a nation to make sure we keep it a great competition by filling stadiums for games - that's certainly a help."
Palace will discover the identity of their fourth round opponents in Sunday's draw.
