One Night in Vienna

COMPOSER Raymond Gubbay will present One Night in Vienna, a brand new show based on the very best of the Viennese tradition in music and dance, at Fairfield next month.
Building upon the success of Gubbay's long-established and much loved Johann Strauss Gala while incorporating the freshness of a new production, One Night in Vienna features the irrepressible showman and conductor Rainer Hersch, who will take a light-hearted journey through a sparkling assortment of song and dance.
From classic works of the Strauss family, including The Blue Danube Waltz, Radetzky March, Thunder and Lightning Polka and Songs of Love Waltz, to timeless dance music from Tchaikovsky and Lehar, this performance will transport the audience back in time to a graceful world of billowing gowns and distinctive elegance.
Multi award-winning musician Hersch has appeared at the Edinburgh Festival on numerous occasions and has incorporated his passion for classical music into his work, presenting many shows on the BBC and Classic FM, including his All Classical Music Explained series.
Conducting the Johann Strauss Orchestra, Rainer will be joined by the highly-acclaimed Johann Strauss Dancers, in glorious costumes of the period.
