TONY PULIS says he is completely focused on the busy Christmas period, rather than thinking about who he might be looking to bring in to the club in January.
The transfer window opens in less than two weeks, with the former Stoke City boss having been on record in recent weeks that he will look to strengthen the squad.
And with a number of players still injured, including Adlene Guedioura, Glenn Murray and Jerome Thomas, Pulis says he will have to dip into the transfer market if the injury problems worsen.
However, he says his focus at the moment is on getting as many points as possible in the next four games over the space of 11 days.
He said: "We need to see what will happen and who might be available.
"I am sure that will materialise over the next couple of weeks, but we need to focus on the next few games.
"These are key for us and every game is important for us in this league.
"We have got Newcastle on Saturday and then two very tough away games, before another game in the new year and then another journey for an away game in the FA Cup.
"It is relentless and it is going to be a busy period, but that is why this is such a great, challenging league."
