A ROBBER armed with a hand-gun tied up pub staff in a terrifying daylight raid. No arrests have been made after the robbery at the Wattenden Arms in Old Lodge Lane, Kenley, last Monday morning (December 9). Police said a man strode into the pub at 9.05am, tying up the hands of the cleaner and manager and threatening them with a hand-gun. He demanded they opened the safe before leaving with cash, a Met spokesman said. The suspect is described as a white man in his 20s, approximately 5ft 9ins tall. He was wearing a dark hooded top, light grey tracksuit bottoms and dark trainers, police added. Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or with information should contact 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111. A spokesperson for the Wattenden Arms said: "Whilst this was a traumatic experience for those involved, fortunately nobody was hurt or injured. "We are currently assisting police with their enquiries as well as granting them access to the pub's CCTV footage."
